Stressed Parent=Obese Child | Family Health & Wellness Magazine

Researchers also found that when parents perceive themselves as stressed, their kids will eat fast food more often than kids with less stressed parents. Parental stressors associated with childhood obesity include poor physical and mental health, financial strain, and leading a single-parent household. The study suggests interventions aimed at reducing parental stress and teaching coping skills may help public health campaigns in addressing childhood obesity.
