Assembly on Monday, October 15th! | Griffin Team at KMS- Laying ...

The Elective Classes will be taking their students to the gym for an assembly presented by Hooked On Science?s Jason Lindsay. The assembly is titled, ?Halloween Science? and will include the following demonstrations:

From exploding pumpkins to eerie clouds, your students will learn the science behind what makes Halloween spooky.

EXPERIMENTS

  • I can describe and demonstrate pitch as a difference in sounds related to the rate of vibration.
  • I can make comparisons and predictions about the change in position of various objects.
  • I can infer causes and effects of force on objects.
  • I can demonstrate that the position and motion of objects can be changed by pushing or pulling.
  • I can make a model of an open and closed electrical circuit.
  • I can make a model of a series and parallel electrical circuit.
  • I can make predictions related to changes in an electrical circuit.
  • I can compare the properties of conducting materials and insulating materials.
