1) OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY: The Sr. Human Resource Business Partner will consult with employees, supervisors, managers, executives, and external contacts to provide expert advice, problem solve, and recommend solutions on the full spectrum of employee and labor relations matters and compliance issues. This position is responsible for system-wide investigations, responding to situations, and managing all levels of disciplinary actions. Will standardize and help coordinate some of the work responsibilities of the Production Supervisors, and utilize their expertise to help mentor and develop the supervisory team. Advises and collaborates with the Sr.HR Manager, operational managers, and their staff regarding the Implementation of HR Policies, Procedures and Forms in the areas of On Boarding, Off Boarding, Performance Management and Talent Management to ensure regulatory compliance. Will also serve as the primary liaison between Weber Aircraft and the Union.

2) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A) Provide HR consulting services to supervisors and managers regarding ER policies, the CBA and their interpretation and application.
B) Mediate supervisor/employee issues, assisting both parties in coming to a satisfactory and appropriate resolution.
C) Manage involuntary terminations which include risk assessment, approval, structuring the termination and the communication. Work with Legal to investigate and formulate responses to agency charges (EEOC, DOL, Wage and Hour Board, etc.).
D) Work with Sr. HR Manager to prepare, plan for, conduct, and consult with Legal on recommendations in complex investigations.
E) Implement a proactive employee relations program: identify problems through turnover reports and the review of performance appraisals; track and follow up on probationary employees; develop ?marketing? plan; develop relationships, attend functions and conduct site surveys and action plans as a result of survey results.
F) Prepare for and execute third step grievance meetings with local Union Business Agent and for the last step, Joint Rail-Truck Arbitration Grievance Board.
G) Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes
H) Partner with recruitment to implementing strategies for hiring, assessing, developing and realigning resources
I) Help train supervisors and managers to counsel, provide employees with development opportunities, and ensure that they are able to meet current and future performance standards.
J) Complete monthly reports, as assigned. Complete special projects or presentations, as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.

3) QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A) Knowledge and skills: Strong positive employee relations skills, problem solving skills, including grievance resolution, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and organization and analytical capabilities. Strong computer skills and intermediate experience with Microsoft Office programs. Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented. Incumbent must be able to work extended hours/days up to and including all 3 shifts when necessary, however this is primarily a day shift. Must have knowledge of federal and state safety regulations (EEO, FLSA, etc.) Requires internet and intranet usage and e-mail / fax correspondence. Work independently with high level of confidentiality, professional standards and ethics. Demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills in an office environment with in depth familiarity to company rules and office procedures. Possess good grammar and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities and handle confidential and sensitive company matters. Preferred knowledge and experience with HIPPA compliance.
B) Education and/or Experience: Bachelor?s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field. Five years as an HR generalist, HR manager, or direct work experience in employee relations. Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with all aspects of labor and employee relation activities and managing dispute resolution issues needed Excellent interpersonal, communications, organizational and management skills required. PHR or SPHR certification is desired.
C) Communication Skills: Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Strong customer service orientation and employee relations skills. Ability to work in a high pressure environment with frequent interruptions resulting in the need to reprioritize tasks. Must be able to properly handle sensitive and confidential information, and work well in a team-oriented environment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
D) Reasoning Ability: Ability to think strategically and solve problems.
4) PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers, viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, typing, ten key, fax, copy machine etc. Bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job. In addition, this position, at times will require prolonged standing and distance walking throughout the facility. Position may require occasional travel for training purposes.
